Tail Wags Dog!

1 Aug

I don’t whether to laugh or cry that so many have been led so far astray from the faith that they now think the Catholic Church is a “Democracy” led by the will of the mob instead of guided by the Holy Spirit. Thinking that Holy Doctrine on Faith and Morals is molded by society, rather than society being molded by Infallible Doctrine. I guess I missed the part of the bible where Jesus asked the crowds what he should say or do and then catered to their whims in order to be popular. This is the worst kind of tail wagging the dog I have ever seen. This should be a call to arms for every priest and bishop to start attending their own Catechism classes (teaching them personally if necessary), to start Catechising from the pulpit every Mass, and to start stressing to the faithful that Moral Truth is NEVER determined by a majority vote.

From the Wisconsin State Journal:

In the Spirit: Petitions with more than 20,000 signatures to be delivered to Bishop Robert Morlino

It doesn’t matter who a persons parents are when they are baptized anyways. Baptism is an outward demonstration of an inward belief. Baptizing infants who are unable at that stage to chose to follow Christ for themselves is unbiblical no matter who the parents are.

Catholics baptize their children to remit original sin and bring them into the membership of the Church as a sacrament, not an ordinance. At confirmation they will confirm or repudiate the promises of their parents at baptism to raise them Catholic. It is biblical (Acts 2:38-9) “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him”. But more importantly – it has been held as sacred tradition since the early Church. The Catholic faith is not based on the bible alone but also on the traditions handed down by the Church over the centuries. In the Catholic Church, it would be wrong to baptize an infant if there were not at least reasonable assurance the child would be raised in the Catholic faith. This is an assurance that persons in a state of willful mortal sin and rebellion through gay marriage or an openly disordered lifestyle will find hard to give a Bishop – as they would be promising to raise a child in a faith antithetical to their current state. Rather than ask the Church to change, if baptism is so important to them, then the Church and love of God should be important enough that they put aside their disordered life for the sake of Christ and the Child, and return to the Church. Not file petitions.

PS: I Hope I explained well the difference in Catholic beliefs about baptism and other Christian faiths. It was a really good question you raised with your comment.

catholicism is very defnitely NOT Christian..
The catholic so called church is the whore of babylon..instigated by satan himself..
Baptism is not a means of salvation..
And baptism is certainly not a means of cleansing oneself from sin..
I do wish that you catholics would stop purporting to be Christian..

You are Romanist pagan deceivers and idolaters.!!
You need to get saved from that disgusting religious cult.

      Dear “Spookchristian”,
While I appreciate your right to disagree – you should give some thought to this:

In the meantime – it heartens me to know that I am reaching even those outside the grace of the of the Church who recognize the truth of her teachings and are drawn to her as any person would be drawn to a candle in a dark room. May God open your heart as well as your eyes.

      • spookchristian August 2, 2014 at 8:44 am #

The reason that I made the comment in the first place,, is simply because my eyes are open to the lies of catholicism.. and your disgusting catechism…

      • Colin Corcoran August 2, 2014 at 8:53 am #

Then I will pray to God for you, for you have been horrifically deceived. I was once where you are – and it required the witness of personal experience through actual death to bring me back to the Catholic Church. Read about it here.

While you may not have the benefit of my experience – please read it and think about the fact that I have been where you are now. I would not wish the fate that awaits you on human. When you attack the Church you attack Christ. Is your loyalty so easily earned by a Youtube video? Have you ever say an hour in an adoration Chapel in silence, cleared your mind, focused on Him, and just listened?

Your response is so patronising and arrogant …

If you were ever a Christian,, you would never have become a romanist/catholic..

    You obviously have NO discernment..
Also for you to say you have been where I am at,,I do not appreciate your presumption..

I know what roman catholicism is.. and have witnessed to catholics before,, and they are diabolical..and their ignorance was so extreme…I was actually nauseated talking to one or two of them..

I was hated by catholics at a certain place,, which I will not tell YOU about..
Your religion/cult is the handiwork of satan.. and a disgusting blemish upon the earth..

You need to repent,, and get saved. and do try to get a Bible….

    • Colin Corcoran August 2, 2014 at 9:28 am #

I’m not being patronizing or assuming. I once hated the Catholic Church many years ago and thought it evil until I died, and discovered I was on the WRONG SIDE. Having been granted another chance thanks to God’s grace – it is not a mistake I am seeking to repeat. I have a bible, I gently suggest that you procure a complete bible (Douay-Rhiems) and re-read it. Your protestant bible was invented by reformers in the late 1580’s by editing the full bible to remove things which contradicted the reformation. In following these so called reformers “reformers” you are following those who rejected the church Christ founded and substituted it with a church of their own making (where these men essentially made themselves Pope). All over Infallible doctrines just as hard to accept in biblical times as they are today such as the Real Presence in the Eucharist, and the Indissolubility of marriage. These doctrines are specifically given by CHRIST HIMSELF – who is ANY MAN to contradict them? If you say God changed his mind then God is not omnipotent and there is not Moral Truth in the universe at all. If you say that Christ was wrong, then you are faced with the fact that if he lied about this then nothing else he said can be trusted either and christianity itself is a sham. If you agree with these reformers that the Church fell to evil – then Christ’s promise that the Church would not fall but stand until the end of time and the Gates of Hell would not prevail was also a lie and therefore, Christianity is a Lie.

Mine is not to convince, only to inform.

However, If you feel the need for convincing via apologetics I have a friend and famous author who can help you (No it’s not JRR Tolkien) –

      I hope you find peace,

PS.. I do not read rubbish btw..

    • Colin Corcoran August 2, 2014 at 9:11 am #

Thank you for the compliment I’m glad you don’t consider my blog “Rubbish”.

      • spookchristian August 2, 2014 at 9:27 am #

I have not looked at your blog closely at all..#
On the basis of your posting.. I can imagine that it probably is rubbish.. or at least full of deceitful catholic lies..and decepetions..

      • Colin Corcoran August 2, 2014 at 9:37 am #

It’s good to know that you can vilify something you admittedly have not read. That you can decry that about which you admittedly have no knowledge or understanding. That key bit of information really helps to put things into perspective for me.

If I was not open to criticism I would have deleted your comments outright. If you think my blog so evil – then read a few posts and take the time to make a point by point refutation that I can address.

  5. spookchristian August 2, 2014 at 9:36 am #

As I said previouslly,, I do not read rubbish…
I stick to the Bible thank you.
I am not on the wrong side..It is you that are on the wrong side..
following the demonic dogmas of rome and the papacy..

You need to get yourself a Bible.. and realise that your an adherent of an anti-christ religion,, that teaches things that it ought not to ..
unbibllical doctrines. the lies of satan from your catechism…

    • Colin Corcoran August 2, 2014 at 9:50 am #

I’ve read through your blog. I’ll be praying for you. Your writings are so blinded by hate, half-truths, misconceptions, and lies that it is heartbreaking to read.

Please attend an RCIA class at your local parish or read the Catechism to find out what Catholics really believe If you’re going to attack the church.

Praying for all the lost sheep –

      • spookchristian August 2, 2014 at 9:57 am #

        sez you.. a romanist..!!

Did you ever know the truth at all..
You need to ask yourself that..
I refer to the history of the catholic so called church..

did you ever study your Bible..
let me guess… you used the NIV..??

  6. spookchristian August 2, 2014 at 9:49 am #

Who are you to say what I have read or have not read..??

more presumption from a catholic.. which is par for the course really..being as you catholics seem always to be presumptious about what is necessary for salvation.. even when contrary to the Bible..

I do not need to read a catechism to know that catholicism is of the devil and the anti-christ.. and is not of God..

Your catholic religion is the most murderous organisation on this planet..

I have spoken to pleanty of catholics before.. and have heard what comes out of their mouths.. and it usually highly unbiblical..and totally contrary to what the Bible teaches..

I can only assume that you were never a Christian properly before you became a catholic/romanist/papist…wondering if you were with copelands crew or a JW or something ??
If you actually believed the Bible,, you would never,, could never become a romanist…
other stuff.. all demonic practices.. and witchcraft !!

You really need to REPENT, of your blasphemy and acknowledge the truth in the Lord Jesus Christ…

Leave that Whore of Babylon and the anti-christ cult,,
come away from the filthiness of its fornications..and idolatry / mariolatry…

YOU need Jesus Christ…not the false Jesus that your papist so called priests present to you…

    • Colin Corcoran August 2, 2014 at 9:52 am #

My only response at this point is that I will pray for your soul.

      • spookchristian August 2, 2014 at 9:54 am #

My soul is already in safe hands thank you..

        unlike yours..

Im serious.. You need to repent mister and get saved.. get way from that false and demonic cult of rome…

I’m easy to find on facebook. just put cc70458 in the search bar and i should come right up. my email is cc70458@gmail.com.
It was wonderful to have such an encounter and several of your poems still haunt my thoughts. I’m hoping you will share them with the world by starting a blog and publishing them!

As a convert, it amazes me how some (obviously not all) believe that a new pope or the popular secular beliefs will somehow change our Catholic faith. The unchanging truths passed on for almost 2,000 years are why I converted. Prayers for all.

I’m with you on that one. The church has stood fro 2 millennia – while societies and governments came and went the church has always been eternal, a comforting reminder for me of the truth of Christ’s promises – and the truth of the Church he personally founded..
